June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month!

In honor of Adopt a Shelter Cat Month, Pasado’s Safe Haven is offering a special “two fur one” kitty adoption program where you can adopt two kitties for only $100 throughout the month of June.

Double the fun, double the love, and double the gratitude of adopting new family members! The residents at Kitty City would love to become part of your family. Some of our special needs kitties have been waiting so long to find their own special someone – and we’re hoping that they will find their person this month!

Could you please consider adopting one (or two!) of our loving special needs kitties?

What is it like to live with a special needs kitty?

Just ask Josefina Mutascu and Daniel Timchak, a wonderful couple who are fostering two of our FIV kitties, Roz and Jimmy!

Josefina and Daniel decided that they wanted to foster a couple of cats after Josefina began volunteering at Pasado’s.

“My husband Daniel grew up with dogs and I grew up in a household that had cats and dogs, including a special needs FIV cat,” Josefina explained.

“It was difficult to pick a pair, but we couldn’t help thinking of the FIV cats and how long they had been there!

“My husband and I met Roz and Jimmy and decided to bring them home with us.

“They have been quite a fun pair; Roz is extremely vocal and loves to talk to us. Jimmy is a sweetheart and is often content to just sit in your lap and purr while you pet him.

Sweet Roz snuggles comfortably into a pair of shoes in her foster home

“They are both very energetic and playful and over the course of the three months, have blossomed in their personalities.

“Roz, who is very particular about being petted, loves to cuddle at the foot of the bed and Jimmy is notorious for his curiosity.

“They love to wrestle and constantly groom each other; they are quite good friends!

“Although Jimmy and Roz have FIV, they act just like any other cat; we just have to be sure to keep a careful eye on their health because of their weakened immune system.

Silly, happy Jimmy!

“We have very much enjoyed having them and want people to realize that every cat deserves a loving home!” Josefina enthused.

If you can open your heart and home to one (or two!) of our special kitties, please contact us at Tiffanyn@pasadosafehaven.org.

If you aren’t looking to add to your family at this time, please share this story to help our special kitties find families!

From everyone here at Pasado’s Safe Haven, Happy Adopt a Shelter Cat Month!
